Banks because I’ve been suffering from a bunion on my left foot for several years now. Fort Worth is blessed to have such a wonderful practice. Banks and his staff for any future foot needs and am grateful for their friendliness, knowledge, experience and professionalism. I was completely relieved and felt hopeful that the least invasive treatment was an option.I know I can count on Dr. ![]() Banks put me at ease, discussed his findings and gave me several options for treatment. I felt empowered moving forward and was grateful for her knowledge and experience. He was very professional taking notes, x-raying my feet and asking leading questions so they had a more thorough understanding of my foot problem.Amanda, the receptionist, explained the charge and my deductible making me much more knowledgeable of my future medical expenses. He was very gracious and assured me there was no need to be embarrassed. Kudos to them all!Sal, the attending medical assistant immediately noticed my discomfort with heights and found a room without windows where I would be much more comfortable. Does not mean it would be the same for everyone. I went back to work 2 weeks after surgery on light duty. Banks I will call his office back next year when Im ready to for my next foot. I am able to move my toes a little more they are not as stiff as they use to be. It takes up to 4 to 6 months to be completely back to normal. Still gets swollen by the end of the day nothing compared to the beginning of surgery. The hardest part for me was to shower because you have to wrap your foot it can't get wet until the stitches come out. I obviously couldn't move as good or fast as before. I would not waite to be in pain to elevated my foot. I would elevated as soon I felt discomfort. My foot was as expected swollen and bruise and stiff and numb. I did take on occasionally Ibuprofen to help with inflammation. During the day I didn't feel it necessary to take any pain meds. I had surgery Friday by Tuesday I would only take my pain meds at night in case I would hurt my foot by accident. I took my pain pills the first 4 days on the exact every 4 to 6 hours. The expected after all he did break my bones and put them back together with screws. I finally call his office back and set up another appt to set up for surgery. Well I postpone surgery a little over a year for the same reason people getting into my head. He explain he tells all his patients if it does not bother you no need for surgery. And he did say to me if you don't have pain you don't have to do it. Banks he explain the surgery very thoroughly. Before surgery different people would scare me telling me it was a very painful surgery. I had bunion toe and 2 hammer toes surgery. He explained how he could make corrections & improvements.I am recovering from surgery number 2, left foot is in better shape than I can remember & I can already tell that the same will soon be true for my right. Banks looked at my x-rays and gave me options, one included "fixing my feet". I had bunions, Hammer Toe, no arch, truly deformed aching feet. I could put it off no longer if I planned to continue to be active without dying. I neglected seeiing a new podiatrist for several years after my first retired so my feet were worse than they had ever been. I never imagined then how he would change my life.I had surgery on my right foot late this summer, he performed a similar surgery on my left foot last year, he recommended knocking out the worse of the two first.I am no stranger to seeing the podiatrist and have treated multiple ailments over the years including two previous surgeries for plantar fasciitis. I felt comfortable from the moment I met him.
